Aero Ranger allows you to do a basic stitch of images directly on the tablet to provide a quick assessment of the final result.

You can stitch up to 10 images although it is a very memory intensive task - the success of the stitching process depends heavily on the image size, contained detail and the amount of RAM your device has.

Only full sized images can be stitched as thumbnails do not contain enough pixels for the matching algorithm to work with.
  1. Go to the Gallery page of the app (accessed via the main menu). The gallery automatically downloads thumbnails from the drone in flight. However, full sized images are not downloaded due to the required bandwidth.
  2. Get full sized images from the drone by either:
  • Faster way: Insert the SD card from your drone into the Tablet, either using a USB micro SD card reader and OTG cable, or the micro SD card reader slot in your device (if there is one).
  • Your card should be auto detected.
    • If so, press view.
    • If not, press the Import SD card buttonImage at the bottom left of the Gallery screen and navigate to the DCIM directory of the card and press confirm.
  • Slower way (but doesn't require SD card reader): Download wirelessly from your drone by selecting the last panorama mission in the gallery page (use the drop down selector at the top of the page), and press the download button Image.
    • Drone must be powered and Aero Ranger connected for this to work.
    • Downloading may take several minutes and may not always be reliable (drone model dependent).
    • You can select a subset of the mission images to download by tapping on them (green tick will appear), the press the  download button
  1. Select the images you wish to join into a panorama, by tapping on them, then press the Panorama button at the left of the Gallery screen
  2. Panorama creation will begin
  3. If successful, the panorama will be created and displayed on screen.
  4. Files are stored on the devices internal storage in the Pictures directory. Panoramas will appear in the system gallery app on your device.
Select full sized images by tapping to show a green tick, tap Panorama to begin the process...
